This sensor is designed to work in conjunction with 3M's Magnetic Lateral Warning and Guidance Tape. As the sensor tracks the tape, it communicates its instantaneous lateral relative position to your controller. Your controller can use the lateral position information to trigger events such as speeding up, slowing down, stopping completely, and steering a vehicle.
